On July 12, HVFC was dispatched as mutual aid to Route 9S for a vehicle rollover with entrapment in Chester. The vehicle was discovered on its side, blocking the passing and travel lanes. HVFC provided lighting and traffic control while Connecticut State Police investigated the incident. The driver was taken to Hartford Hospital with injuries via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance.

On July 13, HVFC responded to Timms Hill Road for a reported fire alarm. Crews found that the alarm was set off from burnt food on the stove. On July 28, HVFC was dispatched for an outside smoke investigation on Filley Road. Crews determined the smoke came from a neighbor's grill.
On July 23, HVFC responded to a reported basement fire on Saybrook Road near High Street. Upon arrival, firefighters learned that all occupants and pets were out of the home. The initial responding crew found a working basement fire extending to the first floor and deployed a compressed air foam system (CAFS) line from Engine 6-13. While using this system, firefighters knocked the fire down in less than 15 minutes, although extensive overhaul was needed. The damage was contained to the basement and one room located above the fire. A section of Saybrook Road was closed for more than three hours as crews worked at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Haddam Fire Marshals Office with assistance from the State Fire Marshals Office.
On July 29, HVFC was dispatched as mutual aid to Durham for a reported drowning at Millers Pond State Park. HVFC assisted Durham Fire and Middletown South Fire District with dive operations and recovery. Crews also used an all-terrain vehicle to shuttle equipment and personnel around the park.
(Pictured) On July 31, crews responded as mutual aid to the Maromas section of Middletown for a brush fire measuring approximately two acres in size. Haddam provided a tanker, a forestry truck, an all-terrain vehicle and manpower. The fire was accessed via a logging road near the power line trail on Brooks Road. Crews from Middletown South Fire District, Westfield Fire Department and HVFC worked to contain and extinguish the fire.
Haddam's Tanker 2-13 provided a water supply fill site for the brush fire apparatus. Haddam was released by South District command at 1:15 a.m. Aug. 1.
